Ultrasonic generator of an industrial ultrasonic cleaner is contained in a separate medium. This is to prevent overheating and damaging the items in the tank. Since an industrial ultrasonic cleaner uses high power, the generator’s temperature while the cleaning process is ongoing becomes very high. Also, because there is no generator where the tank is contained, bigger transducers have enough room in the ultrasonic cleaner.
There are two main types of industrial ultrasonic cleaners. These are single-tank ultrasonic cleaners and multi-tank ultrasonic cleaners.
Single-tank Ultrasonic Cleaners
Single-tank ultrasonic cleaners are, as their name suggests, ultrasonic cleaners that have only one tank. These cleaners can either be light duty ultrasonic cleaners or industrial ultrasonic cleaners.
Single-tank ultrasonic cleaners are much cheaper than multi-tank ultrasonic cleaners. That is definitely an advantage. Also, these ultrasonic cleaners are smaller, thus they are portable.
Using a single-tank ultrasonic cleaner does not mean there are no disadvantages. Because they are small, they can only be used to clean small items. Also, these ultrasonic cleaners have to be cleaned manually.
Multi-tank Ultrasonic Cleaners
There are three main parts of a multi-tank ultrasonic cleaner. These are the cleaning tank, ultrasonic rinsing tank, and spray rinsing tank. Each of these parts has its own task. Because of the many tanks, bigger and more items can be cleaned with multi-tank ultrasonic cleaners. Moreover, these cleaners have filtration and automatic drainage features. These features help ensure the effectiveness of the ultrasonic cleaning process.
