Cavitation means bubbles form and implode rapidly. The implosion happens right after the bubbles are formed. Cavitation bubbles can be small or big. In an ultrasonic cleaner, the cavitation bubbles are tiny. The occurrence of cavitation in the cleaner is due to fluctuating ultrasonic waves. The ultrasonic sound created by the ultrasonic cleaner is responsible for the rapid changes in the level of pressure of the waves. Waves with low pressure create the bubbles which then collapse when high pressure waves hit them.
