Why don’t we use ultrasonic energy to clean clothes
It has been proven by research conducted during the past two decades that dirt and stains on textiles can be effectively removed by ultrasonic energy. But there are reasons why cleaning clothes using ultrasonic energy is not a popular option.
For the contaminants on the fabric to be removed completely, the fabric should be placed very near the producer of a very powerful ultrasonic energy. The ultrasonic energy can only thoroughly clean very few pieces or layers of textile at a time. It has been proven that putting many pieces of clothing in one tank and then washing them using ultrasonic energy does not thoroughly clean the clothes. Moreover, manufacturing an ultrasonic washing machine requires a high amount of money.
